what to expect

Session Information:

When you reserve your portrait session we will discuss your desires and details such as clothing selection and location. Session fees are due within 4 days of booking your appointment. All children/family sessions will be taken on location. Either in your favorite park, in your home, a grandparents home or any other place of your choosing. Sessions typically last forty five minutes to one hour. Newborn sessions will be taken in my studio and typically last 2-3 hours. I have two goals in mind at each session ~ capturing the perfect moment and having fun!

What to wear:

Newborns ~ Newborn photos generally look best when little or no clothing is used. A special blanket or hat can add meaning to the picture, so please feel free to use those. Diaper covers are also a wonderful option. The perfect time for a newborn session is during the first few weeks of life (5 to 10 days old). It is important to capture all the newness of your infant. If you are planning on a newborn session please let me know asap so I can get a tentative date on the books.

Children ~ Bright colors, layers and acccessories are best! Feel free to bring along some of your child's favorite dress up clothes. Tutus, cowboy hats, fairy wings, anything that sparks your child's imagination can be worked into the portrait session. And I love barefoot children!

Family ~ When children/families are photographed together it is best that they wear coordinating (not necessarily matching) clothing. Please feel free to bring a few outfit choices to the session.

After your session:

Your proofs will be available for online viewing within 14 days of your session and will remain online for 4 days. Orders should be placed during this time. Your finished portraits will be available for pick up in 2-3 weeks.
